So after spending a frustrating 5 hours last night writing a mere 1,000 words I have decided to throw out my idea for the serious creepy thriller and shoot for something fun and fluffy, like HP fanfic.  NaNoWriMo has just become fun again.  :)

New Goals, New Journal

So, I used to have a journal under [info]the_truest_life  but since LJ still won't let you change usernames, I've started a new one to go with my schizophrenic whims.

I'm still working part-time at the library as a library aide.  Ran into a little bit of trouble last week.  Had some patrons at the branch where I just work on Saturdays complain about me and my co-worker last week.  We were extremely busy last weekend and apparently some of the more demanding of the patrons weren't happy with the service we gave them.  Excuse me, but when I am speaking with another patron and you decide that the best way to get my attention is to yell "Hey!" while snapping your fingers at me like I am some sort of animal, my response may be less than enthusiastic.  Anyway, instead of asking my coworker and I exactly what happened, the manager at that branch sent an email to the director, who forwarded it to the manager at the branch we normally work at.  He called us into his office for a little chat, told us the director was very concerned and our jobs were at stake, and told us we needed to submit a statment to the director giving answer to the complaints.  Our statments are in, so now we're just waiting on director's ruling.

School is going well.  I'm in my second term of classes for my first semester at Regent.  My first term was a struggle but I finished and passed everything and have the GPA I need to continue.

Meanwhile, Nanowrimo has started.  Yay.  I haven't started writing yet, but I'm excited.  I have got a really great idea for a thriller.  I'll post links later.

My pastors Casey and Wendy want to go ahead and start fundraising to send me to the DTS in Montreal after I graduate.  Before I go I'm gonna work on getting my TEFL certification so that when I'm done I'll be good to start teaching ESL just about anywhere I go.  I'm still thinking South Korea.

Anywho, that's my update for now.  I need to go get busy writing.  Will update again soon.
